HeySpeak

Terms of use

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These terms apply to the HeySpeak app, published by Julien Petit. By using the app, you accept them.

The service

HeySpeak helps you learn English vocabulary with pictures, audio and spaced reviews. Part of the service is free; the Premium subscription unlocks every topic and every game.

Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your password safe. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.

Premium subscription

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no large-scale automated access, no attempts to get around the subscription, no illegal or offensive content in the sentences you enter.

Content

HeySpeak's pictures, audio, text and software are protected. You may use them in the app for your own learning, but not copy or redistribute them.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the service running, but we can't guarantee it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may change these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
