Privacy policy

HeySpeak is an app for learning English vocabulary. This page explains what data we process, why, and what your rights are. The data controller is Julien Petit, reachable at support@heyspeak.me.

Subscription status and purchase history To unlock Premium. We never see your card details: Apple or Google handles payment. Performing the contract

We share only what each service needs:

Where data leaves the European Union, the transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep your progress and account for as long as you use the app. If you delete your account, this data is erased within 30 days. Usage data is kept for 24 months at most.

Children

HeySpeak is not meant for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its processing or restrict it. To delete your account: Profile → Account → Delete my account and my data in the app. For anything else, write to support@heyspeak.me; we answer within one month.

You can also complain to your data protection authority; in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app. The date at the top of this page shows the last update.
